Bar Harbor Cellars winery is located at the Sweet Pea's Farm in Bar Harbor. This is the first winery in Bar Harbor growing numerous varieties which will thrive in Mount Desert Island's Maine climate.
Bar Harbor offers the opportunity to market these local products while utilizing one of the few remaining working farms (Sweet Pea's) in Bar Harbor.
Established in 2003, Bar Harbor Cellars has a multi-year commitment to produce local wines. Our wines are produced from a variety of grapes grown in small co-ops throughout Europe and North America.
The Farm continues to produce cut flowers, plants and produce for local consumption while the vineyard is being established.
Tastings are offered daily at the winery from 10 AM - 5 PM (in season - from Memorial day to October 21).
Our vineyard will offer our own grapes by 2008. We hope to continue to support the small growers who have shared their harvest with us for years to come.
